Judy Barber and Max Tuck, together with the ASHA Centre in Gloucestershire, have created the perfect retreat for those who want to experience raw food and the benefits that detoxing at a raw food retreat can bring. You might already be familiar with the concept of raw and living food, but on a retreat you can experience the benefits of having everything done for you, in lovely surroundings, where you can participate as much or as little as you choose.

Raw Food Retreat – The Concept

For those not familiar with raw food, or even a detox retreat, the concept is simple - we do all the work, you relax, enjoy yourself and feel the benefits. A raw food retreat is the perfect antidote to the stresses of modern life. Our raw food retreat runs over a long weekend (Friday to Sunday) to offer the perfect combination of detox benefits with minimum time off work for the busy professional. You can finish work on Thursday evening, be with us on Friday morning, and feel like a different person by Sunday afternoon.

The benefits are many: previous guests on our raw food retreats have left feeling relaxed, energised, healthier, detoxed and more focused. Who Goes on a Raw Food Retreat?

The people who join our retreats do so for many reasons; not just to experience raw and living food. We have had the pleasure of hosting successful business entrepreneurs, nutritionists, healthcare workers, full-time mums, retirees and students. Guests on our raw food retreats come from all walks of life and for many different reasons. They start out as strangers and leave as friends.

What Else Can You Do on the Raw Food Retreat?

We strive to ensure that the focus of our retreats is not just raw and living food. We have a portable infra-red sauna which guests can use for a small additional fee, and massages with an excellent therapist are also available as an optional extra. We encourage exercise on the retreat, since it is the perfect complement to the detox effects of the delicious raw food that is served. There are yoga classes and meditation to refresh the body and calm the mind.
